I'm on a winning streak for some reason, but not complaining!
I am one of those people who never wins anything. I've entered competitions and draws etc, but never win, until now!
At the end of last year, I won a $50 Sephora gift card. For those of you who don't know, Sephora is a beauty retailer, so I was very pleased to win that and spent it pretty quickly. on a new eyeshadow palette.
Then, I won another $50 gift card, this time for 17th Avenue in Calgary. This is a street in Calgary with lots of shops and restaurants and the gift card can be spent at a number of places. One of those is an art shop, so I might spend this on some new colouring supplies for my adult coloring book obsession.
I was pretty pleased with myself by then and thought, great I've won two things, they say they come in threes, so off to buy a lottery ticket. Well, you will never guess, but I won the lottery too, all $20 of it. Oh well, not the win I hoped for, but better than nothing.
I thought my luck was over, but no, I then won a $25 gift card from Chapters Bookstore and a $20 gift card for a local cafe here called Bumpy's. I won this via our apartment building which holds a photo competition every month. I won in November. Chris also won the same gift card in October, so we have $40 to spend there. It is literally just around the corner from the apartment, so we must give it a try.
Thinking I couldn't possibly win anything else when a couple of days ago I got an email to say I had won a $100 gift card for Amazon.com. If I'm being picky, I'd rather have won from Amazon.ca where we have our Prime membership, but I'll take the .com version. I'm sure we'll find something we want! Who am I kidding, we'll find loads we want!
Then yesterday, Chris won another photo competition $20 gift card for Bumpy's cafe, so we now have $60 to spend there! I hope we like it!
So, now I'm thinking I should enter more competitions as luck seems to be on my side at the moment. As they say, you have to be in it to win it! I will also keep buying lottery tickets, well, you never know, do you?
