My September Boxycharm has arrived
This month's Boxycharm was a little later than usual, but as the company is based in Miami and Hurricane Irma put Florida into a state of chaos, I can definitely forgive this. But it was worth the wait!
My box contained six items this month, which is unusual as it normally only has five. Great start!
MAC Cosmetics - Eyebrow Pencil
This is in a shade I can actually use. Normally anything I get in boxes for brows is way too dark for me.
Studio Makeup - Loose Blush
This is a bit too peachy for me, I prefer pinker tones, but nice.
PUR - Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette
A nice eyeshadow palette with a lot of neutral shades that anyone can wear. I found there was a little bit of kickback in the palette and the shades worked much better over primer which also prevented fallout. Great little palette.
bareMinerals - Face Perfecting Brush
Nice quality foundation brush that has an indent in the bristles to place a blob of foundation for easy application.
Briogeo - Don't Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask
I started using this straight away and it made my hair very smooth and silky but still kept in manageable. Definately love this.
Colourpop - Ultra Satin Lip
Makeup companies seem obsessed with matte liquid lipsticks at the moment. I personally find them much too drying, so this won't be added to my makeup bag. Also, the colour is a deep brown which just isn't me. You can see the shade in the swatches below - yuck!
Overall I'm very happy with this month's Boxycharm. Other than the lippy, I will find a use for all the items which have a total value of $141 USD, but the box only costs $21, so great value.
