Catching up on my colouring projects
You may have noticed that I haven't posted very much about my colouring projects lately. Well, whilst we were travelling across the country I just didn't do any, but since settling into the apartment I have started to colour again.
When we were in town a couple of weeks ago I found two new colouring books that were on sale. One was unusual in that it was more like a painting by numbers type book. You can see from the photos that the pages have lots of shapes on them which relate to colours set up in the key on each page. You then match the colours and fill in the picture, slowly forming the image.
This is my first picture from that book. For this one I used coloured pencils.
Next I started another picture, but had no idea what it was going to be. You can see the finished pictures at the back of the book, but I like to be surprised, so don't look before starting.
I did this one with my Crayola pens, but found them to be too thick for some of the smaller blocks of colour, so I started using my Staedtler fineliner pens which are much finer, but I only had 10 colours, which was no good, so I treated myself to a bigger pack of 42 colours - now we are talking!
