Travelling logistics are getting complicated

When embarking on a road trip, one of the most important considerations is of course the route itself. But with so many options available both in Canada and the USA, it is proving very hard to work this out.

Plus we have to added unknown of when will our house sell next year. Obviously the time of year we hit the road will impact our travel plans as we don't want to be travelling in either country during heavy snow or ice!

We also have another complication: our daughter who lives in the UK is marrying her girlfriend in September 2016 and our gift to them is to pay for their honeymoon in Florida. They will be staying in Orlando for a week or so on their own, then we are joining them so that we can chauffeur them around the following two weeks. We will rent a villa whilst down there, but we have to build the Florida section into our travel plans - providing the house sells before then of course. It's getting complicated!

Now throw in yet another issue: As UK citizens we can only be in the USA for a maximum of three months on our visa waiver, so we have to make sure that whatever we do in the States we will be re-entering Canada well within our visa limits.

So, all we need to do now is work out where we want to go and for how long - EASY!

We are thinking Route 66!
